Scam means fraud or which is fake. On internet there are thousands of PTC sites and hundreds are made each single day. With so much stuff on net, you will easily get confused which site is legitimate and which is fake. I too surfed many sites and some of them were running successfully but still they went scam or were dropped down.

A site becomes scam when it doesn’t pay his registered members the desired money or stops paying after sometime. This may happen due to the fact that there are no available advertisers or the admin of that site isn’t so honest. One more thing I must tell you. On a PTC site you can be 99.99% sure at most. You can never be 100% sure whatever site it is, because you never know when a site dumps you. ;-) I hope you got why I was stressing on word ‘legitimate’!
